The dashboard on my Camry is melting causing a sticky residue. My safety concern is while driving the car, sun causes a glare on to the windshield preventing me from seeing any on coming traffic, or objects. Without clear visibility driving this car has caused me several near head on collisions with ongoing traffic. Driving this car I purchased scares me that this is issue will cause me an accident which could take my life or someone else on road I may hit. Toyota was aware of the dash issue years prior but only fixed some of this defected dashes by creating a warranty enhancement. If the problem was present or known it was replaceable with in their window of time, they will not make their defected dash correct. I realize over time all components of a car have wear and tear. This is not that issue at all. This is a issue of a dash being used that has a chemical while in sun melts. There was two prior class action lawsuits and to prevent a recall and notifying all owners of this defect and correcting it for the safety of drivers in their product but also drivers in other autos which are now at danger if this viability causes a Camry driver to collide with their auto. This defect effects all drivers on the highway not just the Toyota drivers. I have been to and called Toyota several times pertaining to this issue and my fear of driving. I have simply been able to get no recourse for this defect. I am very aware of the cost to fix this defect however I feel the cost of every life replacing this dash saves is worth well more than the cost to replace the defected dash. I plead for you to investigate a huge problem & the trap involved with the warranty enhancement Toyota implemented versus recalling the dashboards, getting them off the road to make highway driving safer for non Toyota owners simply driving & owners which could potentially pay with their life. Thanks

Visor on driver's side keeps falling down and is a hazard when driving. Apparently Toyota issued a recall and I was never notified. Toyota has my updated address and I constantly receive notices from Toyota but did not receive this one and the deadline for warranty recall has expired.

The sun visor broke when I was using it while the sun was coming down. It's a safety hazard since the sun blinds you. Toyota does not produce reliable cars like they used to.

While driving the visor dropped down obscuring view of the road. Visor was previously deployed to block the sun. I readjusted the visor to be closer to the windshield then something within the assembly snapped and it lowered. In the lowered position it is in the position where it blocks the most view through the wind shield.

I have seen complaints about the driver side sun visor wearing out on 2007 Camry. No recalls and people being left to pay for repair or to get a replacement. This has happened with my Camry. The visor arm broke out of my visor. It first would not stay up when not needed then it just completely broke. I think this is an issue that should be covered by Toyota. It is a safety hazard. I have never had a car that the visor wore out.

I entered my car and noticed my drivers side sun visor was hanging. I tried to put it up, but it kept falling down about 3-4 inches, just so it was perfectly in my eyesight and creating a hazard. I ended up removing the shade completely so I was able to drive safely and it wasn't until today that I decided I would search the internet for a replacement shade for my car that I found countless, identical complaints. This really is a serious safety issue considering it blocks the drivers' view of the road.

The sun visor on the driver side fell down while I was driving, it would not stay up on it's own, almost hit the car in front of me when they stop, which I couldn't see until I had push the sun visor out of the way. This is a major safely problem that I called Toyota about but they said they have not issued a recall on this problem even though alot of other owners are having the same problem.

In driveway at our home passenger went to move visor and discovered the part of the visor that sits in the holder to keep it in place was no longer firm and appeared to be coming apart. In order not to make the visor inoperable, the owners determined not to try to move the visor to keep it from becoming further impaired. Now when the sun is coming into the car window from the side making passenger or driver vision difficult, the visor is of no use in blocking it.
