Driving on the freeway, I pulled my sun visor down and it flopped in front of me. I had no choice but to pull it off as it wouldn't stay in position, up or down. I wrote to Toyota and they refused to have it repaired, but they offered me a $750 discount on my next Toyota purchase! under the circumstances, I could easily have been in an accident and consider the incident a serious safety hazard. I researched the problem and found there are many such incidents. In fact one site showed hundreds of complaints for the very same thing.

Our family owns a 2004 Toyota Tundra which we love so that made us buy a Camry in 2008 big mistake! ever since I bought this car new in 08' had nothing but mechanical issues and as of date 6 recalls and counting. A month after I purchased the veh they replaced my axle, brakes and then that's when the recalls starting coming in. From my visors falling to now the window recalls. My front dashboard is nasty sticky no matter how I clean it it's gross the sticky won't go away and the arms rests on the driver door and passenger sides are both rotten from the inside their cracked and broken. I don't use arm rests so they shouldn't be! the top ceiling cloth in my car fell down the 4th month I had my vehicle so my father spray glued it (how sad is that!). this was my first car I purchased brand new so going thru this after complaints at the dealership they still didn't do anything. I'm so upset I have no words left to say about this vehicle I'm driving a crap car that's falling apart from the day I purchased it. Thank you Toyota!!!!! unless they take care of my car situation I will never recommend Toyota to anyone nor buy another Toyota it's sad!!!

I have 2008 Camry and have had a melting dashboard for few years. This is absolutely a safety issue because the melted surface reflects sunlight onto the windshield making it difficult to see through the glare. In addition the melted dashboard could fuse with the airbag cover and cause it to malfunction. I question what kind of chemicals may be released in the air as well.

Dashboard is melting, very sticky and makes a reflexion on the windshield that make it very difficult to drive. Sun visor driver side does not stay up, suddenly fails to work properly causing extremelly dificult time for driving. Both issues put the life of the driver and passengers in danger.

Looked online and see that there have been problems with the visors. After 95,000 miles of usage the sun visor has decided to come apart and I'm no longer able to use it to block the sun or store it in a safe manner. Every passing day it seems the visor gets lower and lower until I can no longer see the road correctly. I almost have to drive holding the sun visor up. It doesn't feel safe but I don't yet have the funds to replace it. And even if I did replace it, it's only a matter of time before it happens again from what I've been reading.

My sun visors on both sides have messed up and now have both been replaced. My cd player also started messing up earlier this year. It says there's a cd in, but there's not. You can't load a cd or eject it. The service center at the Toyota dealership told me they don't see anything jammed in there and that I would be better off replacing it with an aftermarket stereo system B/C it would be cheaper and they would have to send my car off to have it fixed. Hopefully, I'm not the only one experiencing this problem and a recall will be issued!

A noise is coming from the sunroof that sounds like metal against metal when backing out of the drive way or going around a corner or over a bump. I have owned 3 Toyota and I have never been so frustrated as I am with owning this Toyota 2008 Camry. From the beginning the car has had problems with the brakes that cause the steering wheel to shake, the sunvisors falling, the rear wheel bearing to be replaced and now the sunroof. I'm taking time to write this because I want owners of Toyota to be aware of how poorly Toyota is handling these problem. Toyota has stalled taking action so that when the warranty runs out than is the owners responsibility to pay for the repair. Shame on Toyota. Instead of spending so much time in learning how to avoid doing the right thing they should concentrate on doing the responsible thing. Toyota you lost a loyal customer. Sincerely

The passengers side is starting to droop too so I know it won't be long before it goes too. Toyota dealership will not replace this and it will cost $150 per side plus tax. This should be a recall, it is a safety hazard.

While driving (at various speeds) the sunvisor on the driver's side falls down blocking vision via the front windshield. As a safety measure and to prevent an accident I have taped by sunvisor in the up position to ensure in does not fall down. I called Toyota and inquired as to whether there had been a recall and the said no. My only course of action is to pay to have sunvisor changed out.
