Vsc warning appeared on dashboard. ABS warning light and ps light is on too. I had the ABS actuator replaced in February 2019 when the vsc warning first appeared. I am having the same issue plus the power steering warning light. Vehicle was parked at the store, when I returned to my car and turned car on, the lights started flashing and will not turn off.

Maintenance light was on, car was pulling to the right while driving even after dealership checked it out, tires were worn out, also car made noises on front right passenge side at high speeds and some time shaked from right front passenger side.

While driving, my brakes have gone out (as in I have no brakes) several times intermittently. At the same time my (ABS, check vsc system) light illuminate and my brake light is always illuminated. I very carefully drove it home and was forced to purchase another vehicle until I can figure out what to fix.

The car seems to run fine but with some dash board lights went to Toyota dealership. They said I have to replace ABS actuator assy.. I saw extended warranty for that but no safety recalls. If issues are expected with parts, should not there be safety recalls instead of extending warranties only. Why is Toyota saying there might be parts that might not function properly but will be fixed only the parts fall by certain time. I am worried to drive with dash board lights of brakes, ABS and check back system light on. To fix it, I will have to spend $1600 for the part that should have the part of safety recall.

Toyota Camry ABS actuator/ECM failure. I have a 2009 Camry that has been well maintained and had no known issues until last wed 2/7/18 when driving home from work all of sudden both the speedometer and tachometer went haywire and started jumping up and down from 0 to the max, then both the brake light and the ABS lights came on and the temp gauge dropped to zero. I thought that the car was about to shut off but that didn't happen. My car was still driving, but none of the gauges registered that the car was in motion and the brake and ABS lights remained on. Today is exactly a week from that initial warning and I am still having the same issue once the car has been in drive mode for more than 20 mins. I took the car to my local Toyota dealer who has maintained the car since my purchase for diagnosis on 2/8/18 and was told at the time that the issue is the bad ABS actuator and ECM and that both pieces are a part of the car's computer that sends the signal for the brakes to stop. I was also told at that time that there was a similar issue with the hybrid Camry for the same year, and extended warranty was placed for the hybrid but not for my Camry le. I was shocked because this is a road hazard and a issue with faulty parts installed in the first place. Now Toyota is saying the repair is $2500. This should be included along with the hybrid under an extended warranty. I have found on internet searches that Toyota has been aware of the issue since at 2010 but they have refused to offer repairs. This is definitely a safety hazard whereas the driver is never certain that the brakes will work or fail. I say that maybe this car should be under a full recall because I was also told that my engine is burning excessive oil, they tested it mid year 2017 and I was just told that my car failed the test and needs to have the repair done on that as well as the ABS actuator.

On numerous occasions when coming to a stop by car will shut off. The car when sitting has a rough idle (400-500 RPM) with all heat/ac etc turned off but can vary at times of an idle of 700-900rpm notably when A/C is on it drags the rpms down to 300-400 and will shudder at a stop. There's no codes on diagnostics, no noises or lack of routine maintenance. May be worth mentioning this vehicle "passed' the excessive oil consumption but I am still adding a qt of oil every 1200-1800 miles. A search of the web shows this to be a common issue but no resolution. Help?

I have a Toyota Camry (2009 around 84K miles on it) and yesterday I noticed, the ABS light and brake lights came on and then the speed odometer stop working and did some research and noticed this is a common issue with this car. Found similar complaints on many sites, there is a recall only for Toyota Camry hybrid models(https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2014/07/why-Toyota-should-recall-the-Camry-hybrid/index.htm) not for other models and this repair cost would go upto 2700 $ which is 10% of the car cost. Till now people used to think Toyota is a reliable car but certainly this is not with these types of approach.

On my way to work and another driver just rammed his struck against my car his tired ended up on top of my car it was a hard hit and I even thought I had my seat belt I my airbags did it go off at all the impact was so hard and I would like to know why didn't my airbags deployed my question is do I have any airbags that really concerned me and would like Toyota to look at my car as soon as possible in my opinion my airbags should have went off I was hit by a bigger veichle and I would like Toyota to take reposability since I had witness that saw the accident and testified that I was not at fault if there is no airbags in my car it's new to me because when I went to buy the car the only thing high was the mage and I was promise that if anything went wrong with the car Toyota will be responsible for it. I think that Toyota took advantage and was trying to get rid of the car so I got the wrong end of the deal. If I find out I never had any air bag si should no be reponsie le to pay a die out of my pocket.

My 2009 Camry dashboard is melting. The leather console between seats has cracked.the electrical system keeps shorting out. All cigarette lighters/charger locations have shorted out including the aux. A week after buying my car the safety feature to lock place mat in place broke. Nearly causing a car wreck as the place mat lodged in between the gas and brake. The radio, location where speedometer, clock, and service lights locations are fogged up and getting worse daily. When I took my car to the dealership about the dashboard I was told, "it was my fault. Probably caused by a cleaning product." Which I knew was entirely not true. Cigarette lighter covers have dry rot and broken, plastic/leather has dry rot under all 4 windows leaving scratch looking marks, dry rot paint by stick shift is peeling. Headlights fog up easily with water in them. I was in a car wreck a couple of years ago.when I was going about 10 mph and a vehicle ran the red light hitting the right side of vehicles front area. They were going at least 45 mph. No airbag deployed. Underneath front of car is a plastic piece that keeps falling down. Some days I am unable to take car out of park unless I turn the wheel, "hard". I have never received anything via mail about any recalls on my vehicle. I still live at the same address! took car to dealer again about front passenger window and driver side window not being able to roll down or up windows. I had to pay quite a bit of money to have fixed. Passenger window switch is broken and still is just like drivers side was. Was told" it was most likely because someone tried to break into my car." Which I knew was not the case. I am very disgusted and considering filing a lawsuit against Toyota. I bought a lemon car! I keep my oil changes up to date, fluids, filters, etc.I have never felt so disappointed in a vehicle purchase in my life. I'd like a full refund.

The brake and ABS lights came on. The speedometer and odometer fell to zero. Sometimes the odometer would jump up and down for a few seconds. The temperature gauge drops to zero. The engine sounds like it's about to turn off but does not. A/C does not give off cold air. Gear light indicator goes off or indicates drive gear no matter on what gear.

I turned on my Toyota Camry 2009 hybrid in the garage and was immediately met by numerous warning lights, an audible warning buzzer, and a message in the dash message center that read "check vsc." I was going to drive the car to a mechanic but discovered that when I backed out of the garage that there was no braking action. They had completely failed. The car was placed on a computer which provided error code C1256 and C1391. Both codes indicate ABS/vsc/trac malfunctions. I brought the vehicle to my local Toyota dealer and supplied a computer print out of the error codes. The problem was diagnosed as an internal leak in the ABS accumulator module resulting in a loss of hydraulic pressure to the brakes. Cost of replacement with labor was quoted as $3,700. I did some research and discovered numerous complaints by other Toyota owners with identical problem I encountered. I also discovered that Toyota has redesigned the ABS annunciator module. I contacted Toyota corporate headquarters in California who denied any a problem with the part. If they are unaware of the problem, why did they redesign the part? this problem is extremely dangerous as in resulted in total brake failure. I was extremely lucky that my issue manifested itself while the car was parked and not at 70 mph on an interstate highway in heavy traffic. One website set up by someone who experienced this identical problem had thirty five entries in the guest book. Everyone had the same problem.
