2009 Toyota Camry. Consumer states several problems with vehicle to include electrical and mechanical issues the consumer had the vehicle inspected and it was determined there were several components that were defective such as the accelerator pedal, brakes, shocks, exhaust and cd player component and cable burning smell. The consumer is requesting compensation for the body work repairs done to the vehicle after the car accident amounting to $3,890.42. Updated 11/03/11. Updated 12/01/11.

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota camnry SE. The contact stated that while driving, he noticed that there was a strong sulfur odor coming in the vehicle through the ventilation system. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times who stated they would reboot the computer but were unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer also suggested that in order to minimize the odor he should drive with the recirculator on. The manufacturer was contacted who sent a technician to inspect the vehicle who stated the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 19,195.
