The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While the vehicle was undergoing a routine oil change, the mechanic discovered that the front driver and rear passenger struts were defective and leaking. The vehicle was taken to dealer who inspected the vehicle and advised that the struts leaking was a normal occurrence and should not be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 30,477, and the current mileage was 31,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While routine maintenance was being performed by an authorized dealer, the contact was told that the rear driver's side strut was leaking fluid. The contact was also told that it was normal. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 34,000. The consumer stated he spoke to a third party mechanic and was informed struts were supposed to be sealed and if there was a leak, it was because the strut was defective. Updated 04/01/11
