The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry with Bridgestone turanza EL400 tires, line size P215/60/. the contact stated that the tire tread began to separate. The contact took the vehicle to the manufacturer and was told that the tires were feathering. The alignment was checked and the contact was advised that the alignment was normal. The manufacturer stated the failure was common in his particular model tires. The contact stated he was never made aware of an issue with the tires. The failure mileage was 16,000. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and tire manufacturer where they were unable to provide assistance. The tires were not replaced.
