The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that when he attempted to accelerate, the vehicle would not respond. He then noticed that the gear shift selector had moved to the neutral position on its own. The contact was able to move the gear back into the drive position and proceeded to drive the vehicle without incident. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to have the dealer inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not inspected by the dealer. The current and failure mileages were 7,000. The VIN was not available.
