Camry LE 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,800 miles

Even if you replace the cabin air filter the moldy smell anytime you turn on the AC or heat. It is very annoying to be smelling this every time you use the car. I have spent a lot of money buying car smelling scents so that I would forget the moldy smell is constant.... This is really one of the worst issues I have come across my Camry.

Camry LE 2.5L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

I always thought that I was smelling something when I used my A/C but I thought it might be my imagination or some smell from outside that was in the air and coming in through the A/C. I didn't use my A/C as much as I might have if it didn't smell when I used it.

Camry LE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

I bought this car used from CarMax and they had added so much air freshener that I didn't notice the smell until after I had the car for a while. Every time I turned the car on a very bad odor would be emitted through the air vent system. I changed the air filter and it seemed to help some but the odor is beginning to come back. I am beginning to think my air conditioner is dripping on the filter and molding. I am afraid if I take the car in I will get charge for numerous repairs that won't necessarily fix my problem.

Every morning when I turn on AC in my 2011 Camry--it smells musty . It will take about three minutes to go away but will come back the next morning. Dealer has sprayed a chemical in the unit but it didn't take long for the issue to come back. Dealer has worked on this issue twice but eventually smell comes back. Anyone else have this issue?
