Camry SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

dealer first thought it was torsion bars controlling deck lid. replaced torsion bars cost me 147.00 ,still have popping noise. removing headliner to search for noise next option, at my expense. Toyota needs to correct this problem at their expense. there are plenty of complaints to warrant this action. I also would like a refund of my initial expense. In the mean time .....pop.....pop.....pop...pop....pop...goes my camry.

Camry

The problem is with my 2011 SE Toyota Camry, its a loud noise that occurrence every day. I have been trying to figure out where the noise is coming from, I believe its the roof of the car or the rear body, but the cracking or popping sound occurrence when going out of the drive way when there is a curb, or going into the driveway and turning a corner when there is a dip, going over parking lot bumps, a side way torque. I think it might be a something wrong with the structure of the vehicle. Has anyone got an answer on this problem yet?..My problem is getting worse as time goes on. At first when the problem started it was not heard all the time, but now its every day.

Camry LX 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I hear a noise every single time I enter or leave my driveway or enter or leave a retail parking lot. It is a loud cracking sound. I think it is coming from the rear of my car, my husband and son think it is coming from the roof near the moon roof. The sound gives me significant stress and concern as to what is wrong with the car. I am fearful that it may result in some expensive repairs. I have not had any bad accidents to cause this. I noticed this sound early on but it is now all the time. I feel there is something wrong with the structure of my vehicle.

My toyota SE Camry has a loud popping noise when going over a bump at an angle and the passenger side door sounds hollow when closed. These cars are being made very cheap these days. I have supplied steel to Toyota suppliers for years and I have seen the quality of steel go down over the last 20 yrs. Price is the most important aspect and not the quality.

Camry SE 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission

Soon after purchasing this car used from a Lexus dealer, I noticed an occasional popping sound when torque is exerted on the car, as when driving down a parking garage ramp or turning while on an incline. It is now a daily occurrence. I will be contacting Toyota to see if it is covered under warranty and also the dealer where I bought the car to see if this was ever documented when they serviced the vehicle before putting it on sale. It sounds like metal fatigue, though the car is only a few years old.

Camry XLE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

Ok,I am an easy going nice guy but enough is enough. Do I have to be an asshole to get this fixed. I have a feeling Toyota knows something that they aren't telling me. I paid $31,573.00 for a 2011 Camry 4 Door XLE V6 Sedan w/power tilt/slide moonroof. The first year there was a noticeable infrequent popping crinkle in the roof going over a large bump or in or out of my driveway curb. Dealership said they couldn't duplicate the severity of the reported problem. The problem now occurs daily especially when the car is going over my driveway curb while turning into the driveway. It seems to me there is a missing tack weld in the roof and the roof buckles somewhere when there is a side ways torque on the frame while turning in or out of the driveway over the street curb or when the car goes over a moderate to severe bump while going straight. I am going to take it back to the dealership next week. Has anyone had similar problem and if so what was the fix?

Camry ES

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

One month after buying the car, I heard a loud click from under the hood whenever I would backup or would drive forward. I took the car into the service department. They told me it was the brakes and they made some adjustment. This was in October of 2010. My car is at Toyota this day with the same problem.

Another problem with the car is a popping sound in the roof of the car. I was told by the service department it was somewhat a separation of the roof. My QUESTION is, Was this a brand new car or a LEMON!!!!!! What can I do?
