The "hood is open" light continues to come on when driving and when we shut the car off and lock it, the alarm goes off every 3 minutes. Try going to bed at night with the alarm going off every 3 minutes. This all started immediately after I had the car in the dealership for an oil change. I then took the car back to the dealership and they said this is an ongoing problem with this make of Toyota cars. Well if they are having so many problems like this, then why is this not a recall and why the hell do I have to pay over $350 for it to be repaired for a manufactures problem? I rely on toyota for a quality car, but I'm starting to think otherwise. I've heard some great things about Nissan, and I'm starting to think maybe I might quit buying from toyota. I usually trade my car in every few years, and this car I had decided to keep and give my son since he's only 21, but I think I might be better off buying him a brand new Nissan and have a car payment then deal with the problems I have been having lately with this make of toyota. I'm pretty disappointed. Sad, because my last 7 cars that were toyota I absolutely loved. If they don't fix their mistakes, well then it's bye bye toyota and hello nissan!
