The photos shown in this section show some of the problem. Street light and parking lot lights also reflect badly. It is very distracting and presents a driving hazard. I am relieved to see others have this problem with the reflecting defrost lines. Two days after I made my purchase and returned to the dealer with my legitimate complaint 4 days later I was received a very frosty treatment and was told that Toyota does not make a repair on this problem. Just to think after research I chose the Camery SE over the Sonata SE, Optima SE, similar Passat and Mazda6. I have owned and driven many cars with rear window defrosters and never had this problem. This should be a no-brainer to design and build...Ben

The rear window defrost lines reflects the lights of a car behind you. If there is one car behind you there is 20 lines of lights showing, if there is 2 cars behind you you now have 40 lines of lights be showing in your rear window and if three cars 60 lines and etc. It casuses a very bad distraction and you can not see anything else through your rear window. So I can not see anything clearly thorugh my rear window at night. During the day it is there but not as bright. If feel this is a safety hazard and Toyota should fix the problem.

I am glad I found this site. I thought something was wrong with my eyes. When driving at night I am unable to use the rear view mirror because of the reflection from the rear defroster. Is there any solution for this problem?
