On harder acceleration (such as pulling into busy traffic or on a highway/interstate when acceleration is key to safety) engine RPM at around 3000 RPM the engine loses power/car stalls but doesn't cut out until the gas pedal is let off and pressed again sometimes multiple times. No codes or dash warning lights. Dealership advised that the fuel pump was checked. Fuel pump was weak with low fuel psi. Replaced fuel pump. No problems now. With new Toyota recall on fuel pumps, maybe it should be expanded.

When you are driving down the road, sometimes the car would either veer to the left or the right and you can't control the steering wheel. You have to stop the car turn the car off and then turn it back on and then start driving again. Sometimes it will also accelerate on its own or not accelerate on its own even if you are controlling the gas pedal the car does what it wants. This is very scary because one time we almost hit a curb with the tires because you couldn't control the car it was going where I wanted to. The tires were out extremely fast I never have to pay for new tires because they wear out way before the warranty there like bald with in like a couple months sometimes even to just two months and they're bald and the alignment spine I've had it checked. I change all the fluids on time and taking care of maintaining the car I don't understand why it's doing this can you please figure it out?

Vehicle hesitation when accelerator pedal is pushed :when starting from zero speed or accelerating at cruising speed the car often hesitates more often then not this is a road hazord and worse yet for me the vehicle never drives the same. It is really frustrating knowing the money I spent and the money I will loose on trade due to a vehicles performance that is documented all over the internet and nothing is being done to fix the issue. My experience is it has no bearing on vehicle speed when the problem occurs its random and difficult toto predict for me its the worst during rush hour on the freeway I don't know if I should look forward or behind to see which car could become victom of the acceleration or hesitation.

I grew up on a farm and have worked on many machines over the years. I have owned cars, trucks, motorcycles and a boat. I understand how vehicles are designed to work. My car is a 2015 Toyota Camry SE, 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. The safety issue I am having with this car began somewhere around 20,000 miles and about 2 years ago, when attempting to pull into to traffic, and while pressing the gas pedal there was a noticeable lose of power. The throttle did not respond for 3-5 seconds and downward trend in rpms. The next time I had the car at the dealer for service I reported this. The service tech reported there were no codes and the issue could not be recreated. Now this same thing has happened 10-12 times at usually at between 2000-3000 rpms. It has happened turning into traffic, attempting to change lanes and just having the car a head move forward and attempt to accelerate to move forward as well to close the distance. This situation has been very intermittent, occurs while in motion and usually between 40-60 mph, and sometimes not occurring for months at a time. I filed a complaint with Toyota Corp at the advice of the service manager at the deal ship. I have been dismissed by the case managers at Toyota, shuffled off to new case managers and always told that the issue could not be addressed until it could be recreated. I should stop everything and return the car to the dealer after each instance. Finally, the car was left for a week and the issues occurred while technician was driving it. I was told the issue had been resolved. Then it happened again. I called the case manager and was told that the problem had to be recreated again.Toyota would rather have a driver on the road in an unsafe vehicle then resolve this issue. Now the car sits in the driveway, mostly unused. The dealer will not give decent trade value because of this issue.

The car has stalled three times, twice on the highway, once losing power steering. Twice accelerating at 5 and 50 mph and once idling at 30 mph. Battery and charging system errors on dash. Each time, pulling over, going to park, and restarting works. Crank position sensor was replaced after second stall based on engine code P0339.

The first time it happened was July 2017. I was in the city slowed down and got in way of on coming traffic turn left onto another street the car just stalled and sat there. No power at all. I tried pressing the gas, nothing, after several seconds it finally moved across with moments to spare. This has happened several times. It has come to the point where I don't move across to turn unless there is absolutely no traffic. This loss of power seems to be getting worse where I now get this same problem when just driving down a street. The first time I took it to Toyota I told them I wanted to have a diagnostic test, all they did was took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong with it.the next time I made and appointment to get it serviced I asked them again. This time they completely ignored me and did nothing at all. There is a notation that I wanted it checked for the loss of power but nothing was notated as being done. This is getting so dangerous, I hate to drive it. The car has just under 22000 miles.

Very difficult to fill up the gas tank, cuts off every second and as it cuts off splashes gasoline. Not only it is difficult to use the car, it is dangerous. I noticed the flap or the cover to gas cap area not sealed well and when driving so much dust sucks in and accumulate on and around the gas cap area. Every two three months I kept cleaning and vacuuming the gas cap area. The problem started gradually and eventually became impossible to fill up the tank, constantly cutting off and splashing gasoline.

I was driving my 2015 with 61000 miles on it when it just lost power on the highway. I was able to pull off on a back road. I was told it was the throttle body and is very rare for it to go out especially with a car with only 61000.

Camry

V6 engine stumbled upon accelleration in traffic. I was going about 35 mph and started to change lanes and speed up to the 50 mph speed limit on the 4 lane city highway. As I sped up the car felt like the engine had been turned off. This lasted about 3 seconds then sped up normally. We had just driven 50 miles at 70 mph speeds and had spent 2 hours having lunch with friends. Car was parked in 80 degree sun during the meal. This "stumble"has happened two times previously and one complaint form completed (# 10896696).

Acceleration hesitation, numerous instances. Advancing from a stop or at low speed, the Camry hesitates to accelerate for 2-10 seconds. On June 2, 2017 I had driven 5 blocks, stopped at a stop sign, then advanced to enter 35-40 mph highway traffic. The car achieved about 8 mph, then would not accelerate for over 5 seconds while traffic is coming at me. Very dangerous! I have a dealer appointment on 06june2017 to have this looked at again. They have tried diagnosing this two previous times and could find nothing. They said the transmission 'learns' from the driver, so they erased the learning to start afresh. This did not cure the problem. The hesitation is infrequent, but very dangerous. No regular pattern to it. Can occur when starting a drive, or when thoroughly warmed up.

  • 40,000 miles
When accelerating from a complete stop or when slowing down to make a left turn, it hesitates as if the car has stalled when stepping on the gas pedal to go. It will go about 5 -10 feet just enough to get you out there into traffic and then nose dives because it loses all forward power, steady pressure on gas pedal and milking gas pedal does not make it resume any faster. So far it has lasted 30 to 45 seconds and then resumes. The rpms stay at about 1 (idle) and the eco light flashes randomly but car does not stall so far just loses forward motion and wont accelerate out of the way of traffic oncoming and behind you. This has happened 9-10 time Oct 2016-Dec 2016
