Camry SE 2.5L I4

  • Automatic transmission

Within months of getting my new car it developed a rattle before the first oil change. I tell Yark Toyota in Toledo and they say they can't find/reproduce the problem. That was after I watched them drive it through the parking lot.... They didn't even take it out of the parking lot.... Worst service ever. I told them the noise is under where the shifter is. They then tell me I have some rocks under a back wheel well. "They take out the rocks" and I'm on my way. As soon as I get on the highway the noise is back. Worse yet a few days pass and I notice one of the plastic snaps that holds the wheel well in place is missing and the wheel well "where they took out the rocks" is ripped at least 4". This has been the worst car I have ever owned. Should have kept my 2004 Honda.

Spoiler alert: After complaining about the rattle at least 4 more times they finally found it exactly where I pointed out it was. This was at 38,000 miles and almost 3 years later. It was a heat shield literally exactly where I said the noise was coming from. The bolt would not tighten anymore so it was just loose. They added multiple washers to tighten it.
