The audio system in this vehicle is causing the rear of the vehicle to rattle. For a vehicle of this price with a 'premium' sound system, I expect way more. I owned the 2015 version of this same vehicle and did not have any of the same issues. Given the other issues I've experienced with this vehicle - it would seem as though I have upgraded to a lower quality vehicle that is 3 years newer. Disappointed to the point of considering other vehicles/manufacturers for the first time in my adult car buying history.

The JBL Audio is trash. The subwoofer looks like it came out of my little nieces LeapFrog learning tablet. Actually, that Frog sound has more bass. Its tiny and puts out no real power. My Sonata Turbo Infinity Sound put this thing to SHAME.
The whole entire rear parcel shelf just rattles like crazy. It was squeaking from day one. I remember I turned it on when my friend asked what the sound system was like... and it just started squeaking as the rear shelf was rubbing against the back window. It was TERRIBLE. She looked at me and said "Oh... oh no. that's not cute." I ended up stuffing microfiber towels in the corners to make it stop.
First unscheduled stop to the service department less than 2 weeks after I bought it. I brought it in and they "couldn't hear anything" "what sound are you talking about?" and "well, the bass is turned up." I heard it loud as day.
I was so aggravated because its OBVIOUS that makes a god awful sound. But, I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to use any bass in a car with a premium sound system with a sub-woofer. DON'T OFFER THE OPTION IF YOU CANT UTILIZE IT. That's absurd. insert hard eye roll here
The squeaking has stopped since I have been pushing and poking around back there to try and fix it myself since the dealership was going do dick me around and deny and correct the issue. It still rattles but I'm so over it that I can't be bothered. It's a sore subject! It needs more weight to the rear parcel shelf to stop it from vibrating back there!! or more dedicated mounting points to keep it fastened - SOMETHING.

After taking delivery of my Camry and driving it home I noticed an ANNOYING, hum and rattle coming from the headliner / seat belt tensioner and B pillar. on the driver's side..enough to drive a person crazy since it's right in your ear! My car had only 25 miles!!!
The car had about 700 miles on it when it was finally serviced. The dealership was skeptical and didn't believe me but eventually admitted there was a problem. The adviser said 2 tech's heard the noise. They removed and reassembled the B pillar and found a loose bolt, tightened the bolt and reassembled everything. Unfortunately the noise only went away for about 4 days. Now the rattle is back (at 793 miles). It's going back for service again. So much for Toyota build quality. Disappointing.
