The contact owned a 2023 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while stopped at the red traffic light with her disabled daughter sitting in the rear driver's side seat, the vehicle lurched forward abruptly and hit the rear of another occupied vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle was damaged. The front driver's side and front passenger's side air bags, and unknown rear air bags exploded while deploying. Additionally, there was smoke coming from the steering wheel and the steering wheel was significantly hot. The contact stated that both her and her disabled daughter were unable to exit the vehicle because the air bags were obstructing. A bystander assisted the contact and her daughter out of the vehicle. The contact sustained soreness on the neck and the buttocks, and a swollen left knee and left ankle. The contact's daughter sustained a laceration on the neck and neck pain. Both the contact and her daughter received medical assistance. The contact was unsure whether the other driver sustained any injuries. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. A police report was filed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed and extended to the floor while depressed. Additionally, the engine started to rev before the vehicle momentarily experienced unintended acceleration. The contact stated that the failure occurred for approximately 25 seconds before the brake pedal and engine operated normally. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.
