First of all it started making loud squeeling noise when I would reverse use the breaks..... then the other day as I was driving like normal all day and I came to a merge lane to turn onto the main street turning to the right I was behind a cop so he went then I went as soon as I started making the turn all the lights turned on the break went hard and the steering wheel was hard to move so I had to swearve and pull over till the vehicle finally came to a stop I put it in park then turned it off and on and the warning lights turned off and after a few mins drove like normal. Then this happend again yesterday to my son here's his story: When I was driving home from work I was coming to a four way stop them all of a sudden all the lights came on the dash board the breaks got hard and the steering wheel too and I had to swerve to not hit the green truck in front of me then it barley made it home. As of this morning I tried starting it reversing it and it won't move all the lights are still on the vcs check system is on and it won't turn off or move. Please help!

As I braked lightly to turn 90 degrees into my driveway at a low speed, the car suddenly accelerated and smashed on to the side of my front brick stoop. Then it sped down the driveway sightly leftward at break neck speed and crashed into my neighbor's brick house. Police came and then the ambulance, called by my neighbor whose house I hit. The car was totaled.

  • 30,000 miles
The contact owned a 2007 Toyota Camry hybrid. While driving 25 mph and coming to a stop light there was sudden acceleration. While depressing the brakes which went all the way to the floor the vehicle would not stop. As she made a left turn the vehicle crashed into the light pole and was destroyed. There were two injuries but no one was transported to the hospital. The seat belts were worn at the time of impact. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who contacted the insurance company. The insurance company inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the vehicle was a total lost. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 30,000. Updated 01/31/11 the consumer stated prior to the accident, she previously complained about a squeaking sound when she applied the brake and some irregularity when accelerating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to have the brakes checked and eventually replaced. Also, the passenger front strut bearing, tower support and lower control arm were replaced. Defective ball joint/arm sub assembly. Unable to maintain lane. Dealer aligned, refused to test drive at 1700mi. Indiana state police issued warning "weaving within lane' unable to avoid pot hole. Another dealer replaced ball joint/arm sub assembly and I asked dealer to save the parts, invoice commented "tires wearing out" Toyota corporate returned letter denying reimbursement, no reason. Have been trying for three years to get past "consumer service'. "customer service" has" no way to email or communicate with anyone who can explain the rejection", "no email address or phone numbers" to give me. After 3 years, Toyota local district, this month, replaced my tires. The tires that were originally on the front were moved to the rear after the incident. They had only one mm left at 17500 miles. It is quite obvious that there was a lot of wear before the incident. Finally, after I emailed, Toyota "customer experience" phoned me and told me to write a letter to legal. I have all correspondence, invoices et.al. That I can mail to you.
