I do not understand why there has not been a recall for this part with all the failed latches you would think toyota would change the latch, it is 350 dollars to replace they told me to put gorrilla tape on it. The problem is the gooey rubber has gone into the latch which has caused it to become hard to open, usually just use the fob. I just wish there were a way for alot of people with same problem to come together and form a class suit then we all get are latches fixed
