Camry Hybrid XLE

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,000 miles

Immediately after purchasing this vehicle new I noticed a squeaking coming from the instruments. Took it into the dealership as it was under the standard warranty period and they had the car for over an hour. When I go the car back it wasn't long before I noticed the squeaking again. I called the dealership and they said I could bring it in again but I was told that there wasn't much more they could do. Really? $35,000 for a car and you couldn't produce a car with pieces that fit together?

Camry Hybrid

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,625 miles

This was my first Toyota and it will be my last. A few months after buying the 2009 Camry Hybrid in 2008 I started noticing an annoying rattle in the instrument cluster. I brought it in and some work was done and the problem was resolved for a short time then it started up again, but worse. I have brought this car in for noises, squeaks and rattles in the instrument cluster for the past three years and they have still not corrected the problem. The car is put together rather poorly, they use very cheap looking plastic parts. I also have rattles and squeaks on the rear deck behind the seat, again all cheap plastic parts that do not fit together properly. I honestly feel like I drove off driving a cheaply made foreign piece of crap. At this point the only thing I like about this car is the gas mileage and that's it. I can't wait to get rid of the car and kiss Toyota good by.

I also have issues with their stereo system, air conditioning, braking, seat belt, seats, and alarm.
