Three of the four door lock actuators have failed. The failures begin intermittently and then result in total failure. The front driver side door and rear driver side door have totally failed. The rear passenger door now intermittently fails. Toyota indicated that they have no recalls or extended warranties. Internet searches show that multiple Toyota models have this as a common failure. This poses a significant safety issue as the door locks do not respond to the electrical unlock / lock button and do not respond to the remote. Manual unlock still works; however, in the case of small children or use of the child safety locks, this will likely not be an option. I have registered a complaint case with Toyota usa. Toyota usa indicated that nothing will be done by them at this time. They will notify me if they issue a recall or extended warranty in the future.
