Celica GT 1.8L I4

  • Manual transmission
  • 75,460 miles

This is my Son's Car. I told him not to buy anything but a Honda, but he insisted on the Celica. This is terrible engineering. I do not care what Toyota does in Formula One. First off this is a sporty car and should have a motor that can take a little revving up to red line once and a while. Instead Toyota chose to put a secretary's motor in this car, Corolla, The GTS also has Major problems with it's motor and Tranny, and basically Toyota is way over rated. Honda on the other hand: I have a Civic Si that revs to over 75,000 rpm and has been Drag raced and AutoCrossed, and has over 320,000 miles. Not only is this car with, a 1.6 Liter motor, WAY faster than the GT, we have beat every GTS that we have ever raced against at the Drag Strip, and this car has no Rod knock nor does it Burn Oil. Toyota, You are the Buick of the Imports and should stick to Trucks and old Lady's cars. (Camry)
