Consumer states that when he went to wash the vehicle the windshield fractured and cracked. This occurred on July 7, 2005. Consumer contacted the manufacturer and was told vehicle was no longer under warranty, and they did not know why it happened.

Drivng at 30mph in no construction no construction equipment around, no chip in windshield no previous crack. Noticed while driving a small crack develop on windshield next to the right molding toward the bottom. Instantly it traveled staight across all the way over to the left side window molding. The window itself feels brittle like junk! ive been driving for over 40 years and had many different cars in many different conditions, and never have I seen a crack shoot across my windshield when nothing hit it, or had no previous crack.

Window frame was cracked at the center of window, no sign of impact. Problem occurred the first hot day after being cold for several days. Dealer notified, and refused to make any adjustment. Please feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
