My husband was driving my 2004 Corolla-S. he had the cruise control set for 75 mph. I looked down at the speedometer because it seemed he was speeding up and noticed the speed at 90 mph. He couldn't take it off cruise control so he hit the brakes and a shortly after the cruise control light came off. We did start slowing down when he used the brakes.
