Corolla LE 1.8L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

Check engine light went on... mechanic said fuel filler neck corroded... have to replace as well as gas cap, reset light... went 3 weeks .. now back on again. He said ok to drive unless light is blinking...but, will have to have fixed to pass inspection. Part was $230.. ridiculous!... have to use genuine part he said.. I will wait as have other bills to pay right now... and inspection not due until November....Have had problems with this car that I never did on my 1988 Corolla.. but, that was the good old days...

Corolla ES 2.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

I was doing research and this seems to be a problem lots of people have had with this model of Toyota. I have had Toyota's for years and no problems, it really makes me angry that they just use crap parts and don't care how that is going to affect the person buying the car.
