Appears that the drl system mandated by dot can not be deactivated. All military installations madate that a vehicle's headlights be turned off when oing through the security check points. Currently on a 2004 Toyota Corolla. This is impossible. Can not find a dealer who will modify the system due to dot regulations. Dot, dod, and homeland security need to invoke a mandatory requirement that all vehicle manufacturer's provide an override switch. Number of complaints are growing and I am more than sure that citations will be issued. Getting frustrated trying to explain that the headlights can not be turned off.
