I was driving (in area where apparently a lot of accidents happen at this particular intersection) and I came to a stop sign - could only turn right or left...looked left - saw no one, then looked right - saw a truck way in the distance...so I accelerated to make a left turn and boom! I was hit on the drivers side (the side where I saw no one) - never saw it coming, car was completely totaled, and my left clavicle was broken in 5 places. Side air bag never deployed, front air bag never deployed and not sure if I hit my head...but I lost consciousness for a little while. I didn't think to report it - nor did I realize that it was a problem, until now when I'm researching cars and saw that someone else had this same incident/problem. I will call Toyota and report it asap.

The contact's vehicle was T-boned by another vehicle at 40 mph. Upon impact, the side impact airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was hit on the driver's side door. The vehicle was totaled. A police report taken at the scene. The contact sustained bruises, concussions, and sprains from head to legs. She contacted the manufacturer, and they claimed the airbags did not deploy due to the speed and angle at which she was hit.

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Corolla. While driving at 65 mph the vehicle hit a steel ramp that had been left by another vehicle. The impact was strong enough to total the vehicle. Tupon impact, the air bags I did not deploy. The vehicle was equipped with the driver and passenger side air bags. The vehicle has not been inspected to determine why the air bags did not deploy. The manufacturer has not been contacted to inform them of the incident.

My son was driving a new (6 months old, with less than 400 miles) 2005 Toyota Corolla, when he was struck on the driver's side fender & wheel. While the driver's side airbag deployed, the side airbag failed to deploy- resulting in a fractured left clavicle. He was wearing his seatbelt.
