problem #2

Nov 192020

Corolla 1.4L D4d

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,030 miles

The transmission is going to neutral while driving. It won't go in reverse or any other gear. The lamp of transmission (red gear) in dashboard turns on. If I turn off the car, remove the key while all lights in dashboard turns off and than turn on the car, everything works normally...

It happened in city, in traffic. Any idea what's the problem? :(

Corolla CE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,000 miles

When slightly bumped, the shift will go into neutral, now it's being bumped into neutral by hitting bumps in the road, which is tearing my car up, but probably won't destroy it until the warranty expires. Dealership didn't seem to be interested, they claim it isn't a problem. I asked them if "don't you think it's a little dangerous being knocked into neutral at 65 miles a hour?" and he just shrugged his shoulders.
