Regular use of the graco snugride 32 and base in 2007 Corolla. The carseat will flip sideways but remain installed in the base. It happens several times a month now that the baby is 17 lbs it can occur on a short trip, less that 10 minutes in the car. There have not been any serious consequences as a result of the flipping. The carseat base is reinstalled weekly at minimum in attempt to decrease the frequency that the car seat flips. Manufacturer was contacted. Their recommendation was "if the car seat is not fitting safe in the middle seat, then you would want to use one of the side seats with the latch system." Toyota recommends the carseat be installed in the center seat however.
