I have had a dash mat on the dashboard ever since I received the car. When talking to friends who have other brands of car the same age and type of storage, their cars are fine. Mine is terrible and is getting worse. I would have thought the dashboard would be made of material to withstand the head of the sun. I have tinted window to reduce the heat as well. I am disappointed with this fault in the car. I would not recommend my friends purchase a Toyota if this is the state of the car after 10 years.

"My dash appears to be melting." According to mechanics, the repair can be costly and up to $2,000 to replace. There are dashboard mats available, but Ingram isn't sure the quick fix is worth it. He said if you think your vehicle may have the problem, head to the dealership.
