I have a toyota corolla 2007 model which i bought at 12,000 miles in december 2008. Its has now gone 54,000 miles and i replaced the timing belt two months ago at a horrendous cost from my local toyota dealership. Now the ignition has completely stopped working, the key won't turn in it though the steering is not locked. I had a local mechanic take a look and it looks like i have to replace the ignition cylinder lock? Has this happened to anyone else and can it be repaired? is it better to buy a new one altogether? is this a sign of future problems with this car?
