The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the straps that holds the fuel tank broke. As a result, the broken strap then bounced up and down on the exhaust pipe. The contact mentioned that there was no fuel spillage. The failure mileage was 49,500 and the current mileage was 51,000. Updated 11/27/12 the consumer stated the bouncing of the shield could rupture the fuel tank causing the fuel tank to leak and result in a fire. Updated 11/28/2012
