My wife went shopping and thought the muffler system had failed. I took the car into the local Toyotal dealer and they told me the steel band that supported the gas tank had failed. To me, it sounded like the whole muffler assembly had crashed. The deal resupported the gas tank with wire and charged me $17. They said the new steel band was on back-order.
It has been ten days now and still no new support bands. The car rattles like an old 19550 Toyota. Complained to the dealer again and they said I had no complaints and that some have been waiting for the same part since July. What gives Toyota?
