The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Corolla. While driving 30 mph, the contact attempted to apply the brakes while approaching a traffic light. The brake pedal extended substantially farther into the floorboard than usual. The dealer was unable to offer a remedy for the failure. There were no repairs made to the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the master cylinder was replaced. The failure persisted. The failure mileage was 13,000 and the current mileage was 24,885. Updated 05/19/2010.
