Takata recall. I was notified that my airbags are defective. I have contacted my local dealer and the airbag replacement date has not yet been assigned. I am 89 years old and leery about driving this vehicle and will not take a passenger in the front passenger seat. I first heard about this last year and have been waiting for word on the replacement airbags. I have been in touch with my local Toyota dealer and they advised me that they do not have a replacement date scheduled for my vehicle. This repair needs to be completed asap.

Takata recall: After waiting about 6 months, there is no fix available for the airbag recall in my Corolla. I have not used the passenger seat since becoming aware of the recall to ensure the safety of my family. I am due to have our second baby in a matter of months, and when I have 2 car seats in the back, I will be unable to Transport my family of 4 safely. My vehicle is the primary vehicle in my family. Being unable to Transport my family in one car is unacceptable. It is also unacceptable to not know whether the problem will be remedied before the arrival of my baby. My car will not be able to meet the needs of my family, and I am not financially able to purchase a different car because of this. Please remedy my car as soon as possible. This must be taken care of in the fall, before my car becomes a major issue for my family. The unknown of how to Transport my family in the near future is becoming a major source of stress and will become a major financial burden if it is not remedied by the winter.

Takata recall I was advised in January not to drive our car due to a recall of the airbags and the potential for death from them deploying. (nhsta recall number 17V006) it has now been 7 months without a remedy. This is my family's only vehicle and we must use it for daily living needs. We fear daily that the airbags will endanger myself, my wife, or our children and we do not have the wealth or luxury to buy another car or use a taxi for all our daily living needs. We are requesting that a remedy be forced immediately upon the manufacturer even if it is simply a removal of the airbags and propellant. Lethal airbags are a greater hazard than use of seatbelts in a car with no airbags at all. Please offer a solution immediately or inform us of how the manufacturer will pay for a replacement car that can be safely used or be held liable for the cost of the current car toward a safe replacement vehicle.

This car is my mothers car. She is unable to drive. My sister moved here to care for her. She has stage 4 lung cancer. My sister drives her to all her appointments for chemo, tests, etc. This is the only vehicle my mother can get into. This is causing a serious issue in transporting her. So far we are bing told there is no fix to the airbag situation. Your recall # 17V006. Man recall # G1R. We understand the time it takes to get a solution but she received the recall over a year ago and still shes sitting in the back seat. My sister has to make the choice of sitting my elderly mother or one of her children in front of that airbag or pay a babysitter. This is not fair to either my sister or mother under the undue expenses of my mothers illness.

Takata recall. I got the letter and went to Toyota monumental in ponce, puerto rico where they took the car in and made me sign papers. However, as of today, the recall remains unresolved according the the nhs and Toyota internet sites. Hence, I am not comfortable as to whether they performed the required remedy. For your information, although I had made an appointment on the phone, when I arrived the dealer claimed that I was not on their appointment list. They took my car in for the supposed remedy, however. Attached please find a copy of the document the dealer gave me upon release of my car.

Takata recall: I received notice of the takata recall in March, at the latest, and followed their recommendation of not allowing someone to sit in the front passenger seat. However, with five family members, this is not a viable solution for my family. We cannot fit all of us, let alone guests, in the car and still avoid the recalled air bag. Toyota has been good about issuing recalls and providing remedies within a month of the recall, but this has gone on long enough. The recall was issued in January, I received notice in March, and it is now mid-July, with no remedy forthcoming. I am frustrated that a solution has not yet been provided and sincerely hope that this issue will be dealt with before the month is out.
