Purchased a new 2010 Corolla. Driving home from work last week, I had two service lights on (my car has 1400 miles on it). The steering in the car seemed "loose" as I drove home, but when I went to turn on my street, the steering wheel did not turn and the ABS failed. I hit a curb on the opposite side of the road damaging a strut and an alloy wheel. My local dealer, lakeland Toyota, told me it was not their problem but that I needed to figure out how to pay for the repairs. They told me that they had no idea why those two warning lights were on. I am currently trying to work with Toyota corporate to get this resolved in a manner that I will feel safe driving the car. Kind of hard to do when they refuse to accept that there is a problem.

The braking on my 2010 Toyota Corolla le seems to be defective. When approaching any type of change in the road surface that requires me to put my foot lightly on the brake a vibration and weird feeling in the brake pedal take place. It's startling when it happens. My wife has experienced it from the passenger side and is afraid to drive it. I've expressed my concern to the dealership. They say it's normal. Very concerned about the safety of this car. I bought a Toyota for it's safety and reliability so far I'm very disappointed.

In my 2010 Toyota Corolla xle with 2382 miles on it, I experienced brake failure and difficulty steering while descending down a slight grade. There was no braking action when I pushed the brake pedal as far as it could go. Simultaneously heard a loud scraping sound and detected an odor. Reported incident to the dealer immediately.

Toyota recall, how can you expect us to bring our vehicle in for this recall to put on precision-cut steel reinforcement bar on accelerator when CEO of Toyota can't guarantee the problem will not be solved" this was stated on nation wide tv. This car was purchased for my college student daughter and I will not let her drive it as I do not feel she will be safe. What are my options"

Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) my 2010 Corolla has had the gas pedal recall completed and now when car is in park I can watch the RPM's of the motor fluctuate from 1000 RPM to 1400 rpms with out touching the gas. Also it now idles at 1000 RPM compared to about 800 before. I have not contacted the dealer yet but I just wanted this information reported to you. I feel that Toyota has not solved this problem do you. [xxx]

I was making a routine turn and lost control of steering. It only happened the one time, police report said car rolled two or three times, total loss to car and injury to driver. I don't remember exactly the cause other than I lost control. Can't say any of the recalls did or did not cause the accident. My primary complaint is that I paid for front and side airbags, and none deployed on a car that rolled two or three times. Why am I paying for equipment that is not effective" if a car rolls over at minimum the side airbags should have deployed. I would also think this would trigger the other air bags. With all the recalls how would we know if any of these contributed to the crash? I understand the rollover rating applies to the stability of the car, but rating the safety in a rollover accident should also be rated. Why don't air bags deploy automatically when car hits sides or the roof" we paid for safety and reliability of the Toyota, but it appears that the extra money is wasted.
