The front of the car is easily chipped by rocks. I thought because of the hard weather and the sand/salt on the road caused the more that normal chips in the front of the car. However, last week it got hot. When I came out from work a paint chip about the size of a dime was there. The chip started on the top ledge of the left passenger window down to the upper door. It cracked like porcelain in a tub. NO other cars were around this car all day and the chipped paint pieces were still sitting in place, just not adhered. Since that day the paint has chipped on the top of the trunk and roof. The heat is making the paint chip like porcelain. I think the paint is too brittle.
Very poor paint --- I thought this paint probelm was fixed!!!!

The paint is falling off the vehicle (especially below the car doors) . The chips are anywhere from .25" in diameter to about .60" in diameter. We pointed it out to the dealer, but he wanted to blame it on driving on gravel and being rock chips--which is a snow job, since it does not get on gravel hardly at all! We wrote Toyota, but never received any response back. Before many more months, the car is going to look like it has the "Black Measles". Our previous Corolla had 240,000 on it and never lost any paint! I would like to know how many other people are having this same problem?!!
