We believe something punctured the front left wheel of the car when driven down a street and the emergency brake when released did not stop the car. The car skid into parked cars and air bag was not deflated even though it was serviced under the airbag recall. Passenger sideview mirror, right body of car is damaged, side and portion of front and back bumpers became damaged. No out of pocket expenses made. The damaged car sits in our driveway soon to be towed and sold for parts.

I was driving my car yesterday and as I went to accelerate the car didn't move so I pushed the gas pedal again and it went real slow. Then the car jerked and began to smoke really bad so I pulled over and open the hood and flames began to shoot out.

1. weather stripping will not stay on driver door 2. cd player of radio system was throwing out the 6 cd's as driving- replaced stereo. 3. under 70,000 miles- cv joint went out - replaced. Prior to replacement loud clunking sounds and steering difficult- other owners same issues I am reading. Needs recalled 4. appx 77.000 miles no warning alternator went out and was extremely hot and smelly-replaced. 5. appx 78,000 miles between 25-35 mph transmission keeps slipping. I was driving down a street and once on interstate it hit the other gear hard/clunked- Toyota dealer called Toyota and they said replace transmission. Currently in the shop. Called Toyota and filed a case- they respectively understand my concern, however, they did not seem concerned of the safety hazard of this issue and probability of this issue causing a death. I have friend same issue and I have read about this same issue on the internet. There needs to be a recall. Luckily it did not go out on me driving on the interstate going 70mpg. Scared of the vehicle and distrust competency of Toyota. Are they unwilling to admit the transmission problem is a safety issue? needs recalled or investigated please help the consumer. I am worried about others safety.

Entered head in parking spot in enclosed public garage, car was positioned crooked within lines, backed up minimal feet to correct to a parallel position, put in drive (foot on brake) car lurched forward violently perhaps 5 to 6 feet into a braided restraining cable at the front of the space. Front end damage to body, headlight, jammed passenger door, front of hood, possible radiator and/or A/C condenser. Repairs are beginning at Toyota collision center, 410-525-1000, 15001 S.caton ave. Halethorpe (baltimore) Maryland. Estimate is $3500 - my share $1000 deductible with Liberty mutual. Floor mat recall has been done and fix was completed, have not been notified yet re steering column cable repair. A check on the NHTSA website of my serial number does not include this car in the acceleration issue. If nothing else, I would like to have the gas pedal correction in this recall to be done on my car anyway, even though it does not show in your recall listing - can this be done?? can you request this of my dealer - russel Toyota 6324 baltimore national pike (410-788-8400) - baltimore, md?? otherwise, I will be scared that this could occur again at any time!!

Under certain limited conditions, the trunk doesn't hold open by itself. Especially noticeable when parked facing uphill in owner's driveway. Owner has unexpectedly been hit in the head several times while retrieving cargo because the trunk just comes down hard from the fully open position. Several times when this happens, the latch area of the trunk lid has impacted owner's head. This latch is only covered by a small plastic piece, otherwise it's metal. The owner hasn't been injured, but it has caused them pain each time it happens. Owner had it checked at a Toyota dealer. They said it occurs because an aftermarket rear spoiler was installed by a prior owner. Dealer says this aftermarket spoiler is too heavy, causing trunk not to stay open. Dealer offered to remove spoiler for a fee. We've since discovered Toyota has issued a tsb that tells dealers to replace one or both torsion bars for this condition. We'd like to NHTSA to review this & see if enough other complaints have been made to consider a recall.

I [xxx] the owner of Toyota Corolla 2010 (license plate: [xxx], licensed with the state of Maryland VIN no: [xxx]), residing at [xxx], while trying to park in my residential apartments at the above mentioned address (at a speed of 3-5 mph), applied the brakes and all of a sudden it caused an unintended acceleration and I hit the huge metallic trash bins in front of me at a very high speed on October 28th, 2013. The airbags did not deploy, but the front of my car got damaged heavily. It has been towed away by my insurance company geico to one of their body shops. My left ear and neck are in great pain since then and my wife [xxx] who was the passenger along with me suffered left knee sprain. We have been in a state of utter shock and dismay since this incident as this was completely unexpected. I have been a safe driver since the past 7 years and have never had any accidents, violations etc. Also I never mistook the gas pedal for the brake during my whole driving career and I use only one leg for this purpose. My vehicle when I purchased in 2010 was inspected 2-3 times for this and other issues by the dealer/Toyota. The initial estimates as per my insurance agent are several grand (dollars) and the damage to the car is extensive. The insurance company's body shop is working on it. Please see the attachments that show the car was taken to the Toyota dealer within a few months of purchasing it for acceleration problems and also the edr reports, service statement showing that this model is a part of a open recall service by Toyota. I opened a case with Toyota usa headquarters about the unintended acceleration that caused the accident yesterday. The case# is [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).... updated 03/19/15

I was wondering if any other customer was having problems with their tires, I have had four nail in my tires four different times. My ground affect on my Toyota sport is fading the color after one year. The dealer told me it was from taking it through the carwash. I took it through mike's carwash two times and the other times through the Toyota carwash at the dealer ship. I had a hole in front floor mat after one year but they replaced all four of them. ## VIN passed ## Toyota Corolla 2010 ##

1)front bumper is been replaced 2 on my car as the strip of a remolded tire of a truckthat gets pealed off due to heat while driving on the road hit my car twice and the front bumper gets damaged or broken immediately. It cost me 600$ to fix it 2) it happened to me twice. 3)I think that the remolding of tires is to be band or proper process so as it does not seperate.yes and now the tires are made bigger and broader only one instead of two in trailers which is bad. 3)it the bumper gets damaged just by a hit does mean that the bumper is weak to save us from a real crash. It is Toyota, Corolla 2010.

Feb. 15, 2010 to: National highway safety administration re.: defect in Toyota Corolla I recently reported to both my local toyotal dealership and to Toyota motor sales usa (national customer relations, 9001 southwestern ave, dept. WC11; torrance, ca 90509) that the play on the trunk lid on our 2010 Corolla was so loose that even though the trunk lid would be pushed all the way up, a sudden gust of wind would send it flying down on whoever was loading items into the trunk. This has happened on several occasions to my wife. On one occasion the lid came down on my wife's head and again on her arm on several different occasions. Please see the attached photo showing the effect of the lid being blown down on her arm. The dealer agreed that compared to the trunk lid on my Camry, the lid on the Corolla did indeed swing too freely and that the cause was a design flaw as the lid was functioning within the manufacturer's specifications. The dealer suggested that I contact Toyota. I did that, explained the situation, and was assigned case. Nothing has been done regarding this design flaw. Perhaps you can convince Toyota to reduce the "play" on the trunk lid so that we can actually use the trunk of the car without experiencing injury.
