In Oregon, we are not allowed to fuel our own vehicles. A service attendant has to do it. Since there is this fueling problem, they have to stand there and hold it rather than start and then come back to finish. Meanwhile, no other customers can be helped during my car's fueling. Some stations have told my wife to not come back until it's fixed. I have researched the problem and it appears to be a known problem. Some say it's a problem with the screen in the fill neck, others say it's an issue with evaporative emission system. Yet another says it's a problem with the overflow control valve which means replacing the entire fuel tank at $1000.
