It was a COLD WINTER DAY and the windows were frosted up when I got off work at 11:00 PM.. I turned on the defrost and cracked the front windows to aid in getting the frost off. My passenger front window went down and would not come back up. I froze driving home and took the car to my local Toyota dealership, where I purchased the car, the next morning. First off all I am the only one that drives my car and I RARELY HAVE A PASSENGER. The driver side window is used all the time. The dealership charged me 120.00 to REPLACE TWO MISSING WINDOW BOLTS. They TIGHTENED the SCREWS for the REGULATOR and sent me on my way after paying the tab. Shouldn't this have been covered by the warranty or the extended warranty I asked the service writer... NO was the answer. It would have been easier to understand if I had small children that played with the window. But I do not. The passenger window was rarely used and why were the bolts missing and why did they have to tighten the screws in the regulator. I have been into the same dealership several times with a different UNRESOLVED problem. I do not think I should have paid anything considering the bolts were missing and screws had to be tightened but I the only other choice was to freeze.
