Takata recall: I was notified by Toyota in may, 2016 that my car is affected by this recall. I'm in a red zone. I am advised there is no fix at this time, and best to keep passengers out of front seat. This is not practical. I must drive in the front seat. What is taking so long?

Takata recall. I am one of the car owners impacted with the takata faulty passenger airbag inflator. I am on a temporary assignment to the usa and will need to leave to india shortly. So I need to sell my car before leaving. Can you please let me know how to go about it - as there is a pending recall available. I was able to get a replacement car from 01-July-2016 which my dealership has provided. If at all, the car dealer agrees to buy the car I will lose ~$2000 than what I would get by selling it to a 3rd party. So, can you please advise on how to proceed in this scenario. Please advise.

"takata recall". I was notified of the pending airbag replacement for my car around the middle of last year (undated letter from Toyota), but to date I have not received a firm date for its replacement. Called my dealer, milton martin Toyota in gainesville, Georgia during the last quarter of last year (2016 yr.) to be postponed for the second time; now perhaps to be by early March 2017!! would you please help me in completing the replacement without any more delays. It has been very uncomfortable and unnerving to have to place my passengers, including my wife and relatives, on the back seat all the time. My safety as well as the traffic around me are in jeopardy if the airbag suddenly explodes. I paid full price for a reliable product to end up with an unsafe and poorly serviced product and with no financial compensation on top of it all. Please help!!

Takata recall - we received a recall letter dated June 9, 2016 regarding the warning about the defective airbags. Since receiving the letter, we have limited the use of the vehicle to only necessary use and do not Transport passengers due to the potential risk of injury due to the defective airbags. It has not been over 6 months since receiving the recall letter and after calling our dealership several times throughout this 6 month period, we still cannot get the airbags replaced.

Takata recall - I have owned a Toyota Corolla 2011 for about 2 years now, & within 6 months of buying this car from a dealership I get notice from Toyota that my car has the front passenger airbag recall. I have called corporate Toyota about 5 times in 8 months and still to this day, they have no answer for when they can fix this issue, and all of the Toyota dealerships I have gone to in my area (3 of them) cannot help fix my vehicle as well. I asked if I could take off my passenger airbag until it becomes fixed and they said "no". so now I literally am driving a death trap. I'm not supposed to have anyone in my front passenger seat, but I have a family, how the heck can I not have someone in the front passenger seat. Tbh I don't know if this airbag issue for Toyota will ever be fixed. All they had to do was fixed the problem in a timely manner, like a year or so. It's been almost 2 years and still they can't give a fix date. Nice job Toyota. Please fix this issue.

"takata recall" I am concerned because the notice I received states in bold underlined letters, until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. It has been 6 months since I received this notice... I don't feel safe driving my own car and it is extremely inconvenient and ridiculous to have my regular passengers sit in the backseat. When will a remedy be available? I have gotten no answers... I pay a lot every month for a product I don't feel safe in.

Takata recall. This issue has gone on too long without a remedy and I have not been properly advised of my rights. I contacted Toyota (corporate) and they told me to contact my local dealer to get a loaner vehicle. My local dealer has since told me they don't provide loaner vehicles. What am I entitled to? my insurance agent tells me there has to be an incident before they can cover the cost of a loaner vehicle. This issue has taken over six months so far. I have a disabled husband who has trouble sitting in back seat. I have a carpool partner who has trouble sitting in back seat. Although it is over six months later, Toyota still does not have a timeline for a remedy. I have received no updates since the May 2016 notice of recall.
