Winter road trip with my wife, while she was in the passenger seat, she felt cold air coming in from under the dash. Since car had 34000 miles on a 36000 BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty, made appointment with dealer to have it looked at (where auto was purchased). Dealer informed us the under dash mounts for the cabin filter were broken and would cost $1300 to fix since it is a part of the dash. Apparently, after Dealer last serviced the auto, they did not place filter properly in place and when I had lowered the glove box door, it pushed filter into the mounts and broke them. Dealer refused to fix under warranty and a call to Toyota Care informed me this is not a warranted part and they will not replace.
This vehicle has not been the expected quality of a Corolla. Will seriously question a purchase of Toyota in the future due to these type of plastic, cheap parts used in the auto.
