The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Corolla. The contact attempted to open the vehicle door with the keyless entry remote, but the door failed to open. As a result, the contact had to use his key to enter the vehicle. On another occasion, while inside the vehicle, the contact tried to open the door using the door handle and the door refused to open. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to dch Toyota of milford (300 fortune blvd, milford, MA 01757) where it was diagnosed that the door actuator was defective and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to pay a portion of the repair cost due to the warranty being expired. The failure mileage was 110,000.
