I was in a car accident.A woman failed to yield at a stop sign and rammed into the front of my car at a high accelerated speed. I was restrained but the right side of my forehead hit the rearview mirror.causing two huge knots on my head. My eye glasses also smashed into my right eye and I had a cut above my eye.I was thrown to the right passenger seat area, my right hip hit the gear shift and my knees and hip, were bruised. Apparently the seatbelt failed as well, but my main complaint is that the airbags failed to deploy. I suffered damage strain and bruising to both hands, the left was worse, I was made to wear a brace. I was taken to the ER via ambulance. One of the officers assumed I wasn-??t wearing a seatbelt, which was not true at all. He thought I hit the windshield but I did not, it was the mirror. I have proof, photos and all EMT and ER records report that I was restrained. A paramedic helped me remove the seatbelt to exit my car. I feel I wouldn't have suffered the head, eye and other injuries if the airbag had deployed.

My daughter was driving a 2014 Corolla with just over 100k miles and T-Boned a truck that pulled out in front of her. She was doing 30 mph when she hit the truck and the airbags did not deploy. Unknown damage cost due to it is still under investigation by the opposing insurance company. Lucky, my daughter was not seriously hurt. It appears to be an on-going problem for the Toyota cars with the airbags not deploying properly in a crash but something needs to be done before more people die due to faulty equipment.

Driving my new first lease a small Corolla and turning right into work... a third row big old SUV doing at least 35 mph or faster rear ended me and pushed my little car into a big decorative boulder and almost pinned me so I couldn't wiggle my way out of the window. Not one airbag went off and it was not a minor or slow impact. Weeks later I unfortunately gently tapped a parked van making a turn for a stop signal and every single airbag (ones I didn't even know were in the car) went off and the insurance company deemed it a total loss. I was lucky to not have been injured in the first accident, however, I feel there was a malfunction with the deployment of the airbags and I could have been. Toyota also came after me for $1,700+ dollars as the lease was only 7 months in and I didn't even pay the taxes I guess. Then my insurance went up so I was forced to change jobs and walk to work to make ends meat and pay rent. I wish my story was read by someone making lots of money who thinks what happened wasn't right and Toyota should help a young man just starting out with a new wife but I'm sure they are too busy golfing or at some important meeting at a resort! hope they are ashamed of cases like mine. [xxx] if anyone has the [xxx] to apologize or do something. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
