I purchased a NEW 2016 Toyota Corolla in September 2016. In October 17 2016, I took my NEW 2016 Toyota Corolla to Decatur Toyota - (the dealership from whom I purchased the vehicle) - as I had experienced the first of many brake failures ( brake pedal to the floor, grinding noise - which led to a DELAY in stopping). The mileage at this time was 1,784. On May 1, 2017, I almost went through a "Stop Sign". The brake pedal went to the floor and I heard a grinding noise. So, the next official trip to the dealership for review of my braking system by Decatur Toyota -was May 2, 2017. Again, the service manager did not locate any issues with my brakes. They performed a "Health Check and Scan" which did not show any codes. Stated that the ABS was NORMAL. I have called the Toyota Company and now have a case #. However, at this point - what am I to do? Any advice on how to proceed with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I had a car accident and my brakes were grinding and pedal going to the floor before my accident. My car was towed from the tow place before my brakes could be checked on the car. This has been a problem one month after I received the car hearing this noise and others have heard it as well. If my car wasn't wrongfully towed and investigated properly it would of shown the problem with the brakes that people are trying to cover however, others with this type of vehicle have and or having the same problems too. I am injured and suffered a fractured hand. It was jammed in the steering column after being hit. My knee had a hole in it and I still have problems and pain and the car was to have knee air bags. I still got a hole in my knee from the accident. Then the payments were higher than what the car was originally paid for.

First time had to use brake on the express way the car shook and took a bit to stop. I had at least 3 more episodes of grinding when trying to stop. Reported to dealer at oil change and was told they are rotating tires, if they find something they will let me know. I am concerned because there are times especially when it's cold that the brakes won't work. I am worried about my safety. I had Corollas before, never had this problem.

Have taken it in to be serviced 3 times. Actually took the service guy with me so he could hear it. The drivers side stops but the passenger side front tire keeps going and grinds really loud. I actually almost wrecked yesterday in Charlotte NC. A driver pilled in front of me going 45 mph and slammed on brakes. It happened then too! I need help with this problem. someone please tell me what to do! I know it's the abs system, even the service guy said that today. But he also stated a long as the service light for the abs was not on it was ok. Not buying that!

took car to dealer for this problem, was told "the 2013 Toyota Corolla has noises because it is Toyota's cheap car, and does not have the quiet package of the expensive cars"

It is scary especially on the highway. Whenever I try to brake, it takes a while before the car stops, so if I don't brake on time, I'm sure I can hit the car in front of me. It sort of skips when you press the brake.
