First started having issue at 48k. Was driving home and suddenly brake pedal fell to floor, no pressure and would not stop. Was able to engine brake with cvt shifter and parking brake to safely stop. Had it towed to closest shop, and master cylinder replaced. Now in manual it says this should no fail until 150k, not 48k. Called and reported to Toyota headquarters. Today, i was driving home on I75, traffic came to a halt, I hit the brakes and nothing happened! Pedal fell to floor and I slammed into four cars. Totaled the Corolla at 52k, accident due to brake failure, reported again to Toyota headquarters with no real resolution. Two people flown to hospital due to this death trap car and I will be facing a lawsuit I'm sure. I am trying to make a class action suit for Toyota's failure to remedy.

My brand new Toyota Corolla 2017 car failed to stop in the parking lot because of the brakes failure.
First it went through a parking stopper (bump), I kept applying the brakes, but it didn't stop. I continued to apply the brakes, but the car went through a wooden fence, and kept going until it hit the wall of the adjacent building.

Car has had master cylinder and brake booster replacement prior to this incident with genuine Toyota parts at a Toyota dealership. Tried to come to stop on interstate to navigate around road debris. Brakes failed to engage and pedal went to floor with a hiss sound. Hit two cars and guardrail trying to dive into median to stop while engaging engine brake. Total damages did not include property damage or other vehicles involved, just mine.
Toyota was notified and brought to dealership in Jacksonville. Diagnosed with a pinion and caliper hung open on the right front wheel. Ultimately this led to reduced braking power and strain on master cylinder and brake booster which also had to be replaced again. I had the car for a week once it came back from repair and body shop and brakes failed again. Car towed back to dealership and was given as an owner surrender, as Toyota failed to further investigate these repeated failures.
