When I am stopped at a stoplight, the car will jerk several times and rev really hard like it is going to take off. If I did not have my foot pushed down hard on the brakes, I am 100% sure my vehicle would get out of control. It has only done this 5 times since I bought it in 2016 (October)., but it IS enough times to REALLY scare me and my kids. The other complaint I have is the cabin air filter smells like mold and I have to change it out every few months. It is especially essential because my oldest has acute asthma and it causes asthma attacks.
My 2015 Corolla did NOT have ANY of these issues. The phone Bluetooth set is a joke. When the heater or A/C is on, it sounds like I am in a wind tunnel to the caller..... and forget about using the speaker when calling if you are going over 30 MPH. The road noise is so loud, you can barely hear yourself talk. The road noise is worse on my 2017 Corolla that it was on my 2002 Sebring Convertible. I can not scroll down my caller list on my 2017 Corolla like I could on my 2015 Corolla.
When I mentioned all of this to the dealer, they just said I can bring it in, but they would charge me to have it inspected... Which is only ONE of the many reasons why I will never in my life get another vehicle from that dealership again

Cruise will be set on 40 (to avoid police hide out) and rpm will shoot up to 4 and motor sounds like logging truck and then has started happening with cruise set on 60. My rpm never goes below 2. Was told by dealer that could not use cruise under 50 but book states 25 to 100. Was told today that this was CVT and it is normal. Drove camry up and down hills today on cruise and rpm never got above 1 1/2. I also noted my car uses too much gasoline for highway driving

Stopped at red light, the car suddenly, with foot OFF the gas pedal, accelerated to 2500 rpm from 750 idle, then back below 1,000, and back up to 2,000+ in a second or two. Happened 3 times at that stop. Light changed. Released clutch slowly and carefully, but rpm did not fall to usual in 2st gear, meaning I would certainly have hit a car, had one been in front of us. Pure luck saved us from a serious accident. Only one incident occurred. Car was bought new and is under warranty for 2 more years. It has never been hit and the warranty repair done recently, 30 days ago, was a transmission leakage repair. We have all the paperwork - it took 3 tries for the dealer to accept that the repeated dily leaking was not water! 3 tries, a perfect color photo of the red leakage, and finally they admitted, ordered the parts needed, fixed the leak.
And this is Toyota? The 200,000 mile car?
