In past Toyota had a recall of rear passenger seat belts of 2.9 million Toyota's. I just noticed on my brand new Toyota Corolla that my 7 year old special needs daughter, is torn and ripped. Sun Toyota said it was becasue the belt got caught in the door. I have a bumper to bumper warranty and never had this issue with my past 4 Toyota. This is a defect in the belt and were the door can close in the belt. A child cannot do this damage. I am requesting they fix it free of charge. There are also thin slices of the strap on the other side of the torn belt.

I reported this to Toyota and they said they would not cover it the cost is over $400 and the belt the guess must have been stuck of grabbed in the door in the door and that makes it even more defective to have the door latch close to the belt. I believe the belt is defective as there are several small lines on the other side I have had 5 Toyota's and never had this problem! sun Toyota new port richey Florida.
