Shortly after buying my vehicle, I noticed excessive tire, road & engine noise penetrating the cabin, along with accompanying annoying vibrations of the front dash console, two inside front side door panels, etc., when driving on roads that are less than good (many roads aren't well maintained, so aren't good/smooth roads). It was then that I discovered that Toyota cut-corners on trims lower than XSE with their under-body sound/vibration deadening materials & opting to leave underside of hood naked-metal instead of installing the engine-bay under-hood fiber liner piece that was even standard equipment on my 2015 Yaris SE hatchback. I was able to order the hood liner piece for the XSE trim & install it easily into my SE, to help the issue(s) somewhat (engine is less whiny sounding & more deep now). But the tire/road noise & vibration is still pretty annoying on most roads.

I owned a 2006 Toyota, LOVED that car, had a weak moment and traded it in. I MISS MY CAR! THIS new car 2020 at speed 57 and up has LOUD road noise. They took tires off and balanced, said there is nothing wrong, but its a vibration and loud HUM that is SO LOUD, drives me crazy! I can feel it in the steering wheel even. When I let up off the gas it vibrates. I took it back twice and was treated badly saying NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR.
