2021 Supras are consuming oil. I ran the oil measurement religiously since I got the car new and it was fine up until 2950 miles when it told me I had to add 1 quart. Other people are reporting the same issue for the 2021s but the 2020's aren't having the same issue. The compression changed between the years and I believe there's different heads. I wager Toyota will play the "its an acceptable amount" game but I would urge any 2021+ owners to get theirs checked out and don't accept that for an answer. Engines consuming oil is an engineering flaw - prep yourself for lemon coverage by reporting it all and make Toyota take responsibility or buy it back.

My 2021 Supra is consuming a quart of oil every 1,000 to 1,500 miles. It slips past the valve seals. Many 2021 Supras are consuming oil like this. You will see people on forums reporting oil consumption as bad as 800 miles up to 1500 and some have had their engine replaced due to cylinder scoring. There is no dipstick on this BMW engine and you have to run a vehicle diagnostic to measure the oil - it only reads full or add 1 quart, so you don't know it's low on oil until a full quart is detected missing. The 2020 Supras do not consume oil because the piston design and compression ratio changed for 2021.

1-2 Toyota mechanics per dealership are given a 3 day training course on how to work on these cars and no one else there knows anything about them because they're effectively a BMW. The mechanics that have this short training know little about the cars and hardly see them - it's a nightmare to get serviced or have anyone look at them. Supposedly Toyota is releasing a TSB to address this in March 2022. Good luck to anyone who keeps this car long term or out of warranty and thinks Toyota will be able to competently service it. By the way, the ECUs for 2021 and newer are still locked over a year later, so this isn't even a tuner's car.
