My car shifts a little when I stop and put the selector at park. I don't think it is normal. I didn't experience such problems when I bought the car three months ago, fairly used anyway. It was out of the service on the brake that this developed. The discs where ground to solve the problem of jerking and vibration of steering or application of brake while on speed.

I purchased this 2002 Toyota Highlander June 2002 brand new, at around 40,000 miles I noticed it was starting to burn oil. I was driving back from vacation and the engine light came on. I called the nearest dealership and I was told not to worry. Sometimes that will happen if the gas cap is not on correctly. However, when I made it back home I took my vehicle to the dealership, I was told that this year model car was having a lot of problems with the transmission and the motor. He even suggested that I trade it in for something else. I certainly wish I would have done as that gentleman suggested. This car now has only 147,000 miles and I cannot drive it because of problems with the transmission and motor. Has Toyota gone into the business of making disposable cars are something?? Cars are made to last much longer especially a $30,000 car and it starts to give you trouble all the time. Toyota you've lost a customer, I've already bought another new car and it's definitely NOT a Toyota!!
