This car is well maintained since I own and fix several classic cars. The ABS speed sensor is on each wheel is a magnet function. The part is prone to collect dirt on it and/or the simple gear like component that rotates with the wheel and senses when a wheel locks up when hard braking or other causes. These parts obviously are very inexpensive to make but each Sensor (4 on a 4 wheel drive) cost between $160 to $220 each for the part from parts stores and more from Toyota parts department. In "snow and ice country" they can easily get impacted by road salt, etc.
